My life on earth is troubled
its seen many ups and downs
Sometimes its more than one should bare
my hurts I want to drown.
This isn't how I thought it'd be
It's supposed to be much better
I've always tried to be my best
and never be the quitter.
These days I don't have much to give
my soul is sinking deeper.
Lord lift me from this darkened place
before I meet the reaper.
