What I must do.

His boots were wore down to the sole, his brow covered with sweat, but he continued on without any regret. “This is what I must do,” he says to himself, “ for my family my friends and you. This is what I must do.” With tears in his eyes behind a wall he hides, a picture he holds of his darling and son at the mall. “ This is what I must do, for my family my friends and you. This is what I must do.” Just then a thunderous sound filled the air. The silence was broken and gunfire rang. He reached for his riffle that hung by his side, and kissed his wife and son goodbye, for he did not know if he would see them again. The picture he put in the pocket closest to his heart, and away he went to fight for freedom saying, “ This is what I must do, for my family my friends and you. This is what I must do.” When the confusion died and the dust settled, he found himself alone in desert, five dead and three wounded and he undiscovered. “ this is what I must do, for my family my friends and you. This is what I must do.” Freedom comes with a price. The price of many lives for several lives to be free. Respect our soldiers for they show selflessness to grant you freedom. Remember them today as you go out to see your friends or are on your way to church with your family. They are miles away from their families not knowing if they will return home to be with them. They put their lives at risk for you so you can be with your friends and family.
