yesterday
are memories
my mind, thinks back on them
many teachings
many learnings
thinking about where I have been
thinking about all I have done
lessons
of life
like walking through a place
without a path
its like
as you walk in this world
you must make this trail
first it may seem as though
you are walking in circles
you miss a step
you trip
you fall
you get hurt
there...
that is a lesson
was a lesson
its what you may see it as
then again
some paths end quickly
a little too soon
yet, they leave a visible tail
and...
some have walked far
yet, their path is faint
some learn to walk by watching others walking beside them
using their little tricks
and adapting them
for themselves
while...
others, they teach
teach from the paths they have walked
like laying bricks
each block is a valuable lesson
only they have carried
through sweat and tears
which holds their world together
like taking from the elements
working, to build a sturdy way
visible
"a seen"
just by knowing them
just by the look in their eyes
you can tell
their road is strong
as they stand stong
you take what you can from them
and you try what they have
put your own flavor to it
now, you are growing
now you are becoming
the stength you had seen
to some... a few
somehwere along the way
age depends
maybe the holy people watch
when it is, when it will be
when it might be
that they will bestow
the power unto you
when you are
or when you, may be ready
to carry more
because they see you have built this foundation
that will be very usefull
for what lies ahead
for yourself
or
the people
a voice within will whisper
what it may be
you begin to use the stars
to navigate your way
you begin to listen
to the whispers in the wind
giving you inspiration
then you remember
the old one's words
"this is a good way to live"
you take from that
what you will
and you carry yourself along
this path
which
will soon become a trail
from all the obstacles you have come across
these obstacles
some are not easy to live with
because it feels like a curse
that you will have to live with, forever
this is where many have fallen
as, I almost have
many times
through it, I found strength to stand
and keep moving forward
from encouraging words
friends, I have the most respect for today
only they know who they are
this path, becomes a trail, then it becomes a road
along this road you meet people
some will hurt you
just to hurt you
some will be-friend you
to have a friend
some will kill you
with your own words
or with theirs
some will, reach out, and touch your heart
so you can be the strength they see in you
its beauty to their eyes
within you, they see something special inside
one will become more
stand by your side no matter
no matter what happens
that is where this trail becomes a road
with this friend, you help start paths
that will become trails
and become roads
in the end, what you have learned on your path
on your trail
on your road
will be a teaching to others
what to do
what not to do
its not a judgement againts them
its a blueprint
its knowledge shared
life is a beautiful road
as many roads lead to many places
watch, listen, feel
understand
because, it will not lie, about who you are
because....
only you
walk the roads you build...
