I can't believe I am pissed off over something this stupid, but I am Johnny Storm over this shit!!! (flame ON!)
My son & his friends are all into Club Penguin. For those of you in the know, no exlplaination is needed. If you aren't, go ask a kid.
Earlier in the day, my mom went to the Parmatown Toys R Us & found some packs of the trading cards. She only had enough cash on hand to buy one pack. When I got home from work later, I took my son up there to see if they had more cards. The WHOLE way up there I kept telling him--you know they are probably out by now...don't get your hopes up too high just in case...etc. We walk in the store about 8pm, and GLORY BE THEY HAVE CARDS!!! There are like 30 packs on the racks!!!! Since I get that this item is EXTREMELY HOT at the moment & that there is probably a limit, I take 6 packs & feel totally guilty taking that many!! We also find a toy & decide to go hunt around to see if there is anything else there since, so far, we have been lucky. We do even find a plushie! We go to the register--about 8:15pm (store does not close til 9pm) and we see all the rest of the cards off the shelf. There are like 5 cars in the parking lot, so unless someone was greedy & took the rest, we are glad we have our freakin 6 packs. At this time my son is flipping BEAMING with joy.
I go to the only open register & the bitch cunt whore manager tells me--"that item is blocked, we can't sell that to you." Of course I look at her like a fucking lobster just grew off her head & asked her to repeat that. She tells me she does NOT know the reason, ( yeah right) but was told the item was to be pulled & blocked from sale. I tell her I had the item in my hand BEFORE they were pulled so it isn't my problem. She actually tried to say--"you don't understand what I am telling you..." I neatly cut her stupid ass off at that moment & explained to her I hear just fine, and the item was pulled AFTER I had it in my hand so that was not my problem. I asked why it was pulled. All 3 employees standing there looking blank at me have NO answer. To be clear, I again ask--"are you telling me you are refusing to sell me an item you have in stock in your store that I had in my hand before the mystery stock pull?" She again tries the patronizing look at me. I look over at my son who now wears an expression like he just witnessed someone shoot Santa Claus in front of him. This look now sends my mommy instinct into overdrive & I now clearly understand why some women kill.
I swear like a sailor on shore leave the entire drive home. My sons face is red & he looks so sad my heart is shattering into a million pieces. I get him ready for bed & get on the computer to get a customer service number for TRU.
I have just spent some quality time with Customer Service and a Supervisor there because the answer of--"I have entered your complaint & you should hear back from someone in 5-7 business days..." was NOT good enough.
I want the fucking 6 packs of cards--or whatever quantity I am permitted on this item--and I want it tomorrow. 2-26-09. That is when I want my items. I will of course be calling that store again tomorrow, writting to the website address & calling that 800# again tomorrow.
The things we parents do for the love of our children is boundless. I am not done bitching about this. I will update this as the story progresses.
