There are lots of reasons why guys can't get a date.
Make a list of the things that you don't like
about yourself, it'll probably be different from
the things I'll list, but here are some
suggestions that may be going through your mind:
out of style clothes
bad teeth
wear glasses
overweight or out of shape
afraid of women
shy
not funny
Of course, this list could go on and on since you know what you don't like about yourself better than what you do like about yourself. And we're not going to create that list. Whatever you like about yourself is probably a few of the reasons why you can't get a date.
Now that you've taken some time to think about
yourself, let's move on to changing what we can
change. You'll be surprised that once you
identify the things that you can change how easy
it is to set up a plan of action and begin
making the changes that will help you get dates.
Getting your teeth fixed starts with some basic
dental hygiene and moving on to regular dental
visits. Don't be afraid of the dentist, if you
shop around you'll find a dentist that cares
about your comfort and will be understanding
about your financial status as well. I have yet
to meet a dentist that is unwilling to set up a
payment plan if you don't have dental insurance
Being overweight or out of physical shape is a
sign of our times. Changes in diet and exercise
are a fact of life in these trying times of fast
food and faster lifestyles. This is a one day at
a time category. Start with short walks that get
a little longer on a weekly basis. Visit your
doctor for suggestions on what you should do and
how you should do it. Not everyone can afford to
join a gym or have a personal trainer. If these
options are available to you great. If not, plan
a physical exercise schedule for yourself from
books, newspaper articles, and, of course, by
what you can find online. The internet has a
wealth of fitness websites for you to get the
helpful information and support you may need.
Being afraid of women, being shy, not having
funny things to say to women are common
ailments. But they are not brick walls that
separate the men from the boys. Building up your
confidence, in any situation, will naturally
flow into all aspects of your life. Once you
find things to say to women, you'll find ways to
say them. You'll be able to create an atmosphere
of comfort friendliness with everyone that
surrounds you. This is also a one day at a time
exercise.
You cannot learn to be confident in one day.
But you can learn how to handle situations
differently, with confidence and humor, that
will flow into meeting new friends, being better
dressed and confident.
