when at work yesterday we were moving a companies telecommunication and data equipment from one office park to another. we already had everything pre cabled and tested earlier in the week. was supposed to be a nice short 3 hour friday. first verizon doesn`t show up until 11:30, the tech looks around and says he`s going to lunch and will be back. then he has problems at the feed box down the street so we are sitting around doing nothing for 4 hours. customer decides at last minute theyneed 2 more fax lines in a room so they have to be wired. to get to that location wires have to span a 60 foot section of hard ceiling, no drop ceiling tiles to pop up and work in the area. so i get ladder out and crawl the studs in ceiling , hanging the wires off roof struts the whole way. it`s late in the day and i just wanted to get out of there so instead of crawling all the way back i decide to just jump out of ceiling to floor 8 foot below.well that wasn`t the smartest thing to do. i just got back from getting shecked out by the local urgent came doc. after some poking, prodding and making me move in ways i didn`t want to he tells me he thinks i tore the labrum in my hip. he set up an mri for me on monday to verify it but said he could feel it with his thumb
today will be spent eating pain pills, smoking and drinking
and of course hobbling whenever i try to fuckin walk
