My daughter was injured the other night in a car accident. She was traveling west on Dorr Street, approaching Detroit. She had the Green light, a car that was stopped (I believe she said stopped) was going east quickly turned in front of her, she hit her breaks, she missed that car but hit the car that followed behind it, a police car. Head on collision. He did not have his lights or sirens on. The accident investigator came to take my daughters statement in the hospital, he made no mention of citations issued. When I asked about it, he stated none were going to be issued, but that his report would state that the officer was at fault. I pulled up the report and I can't find where it says that he was at fault. And I do see a witness report, which was the kind man who called me to tell me my daughter was in the accident. When I asked him for details he stated to me that he happened upon the accident after it had already happened, he didn't know. I have had so many people tell me that my daughter will be taken care of for life now because the city is liable for her injuries. She has a broken knee cap. Possible more injuries but her body is so swollen. Then on the other hand I was told that the City isn't liable for injuries caused by police. He was not in pursuit of anyone, nor where there sirens and/or lights. Does anyone know? p.s. I also found it funny how all the news reports reflected that she was responsible.

I have read so many stories about people losing their life savings because they sent it away to get millions of dollars in some sort of scam. There are to many scams out there today, I know you have seen them in your email, telling you that your long lost relative died and there isn't away to get monies unless you send them money to hold in good faith or like the one I dealt with, where they hire you to cash checks and you keep 10% and the rest you Western Union to them..... yeah right my momma didn't raise a fool..... IT'S A SCAM! So here I am spreading my story. I knew right away it was a scam when they messaged me on yahoo. They offered me a job cashing checks in the U.S. for them and I get to keep 10% and Western Union the rest to them. I was in bit of an ornery mood, so I played along with them. Like a fish to a worm they took the bait. I, however, never really anticipated them following through. You see, I told them I was Michaelle Navarre (<---note the 2 extra letters to feminize Micheal Navarre's name aka Chief of Police) and gave my address as 525 N. Erie Street (<---note the Chief of Police's work address) I even went as far give them the police stations phone number. The next time they contacted me, they told me that the phone number I gave them was to a police station... (ok now I think I'm busted) I some how convinced them that I was a receptionist at the police station. A month passes, and this past Saturday I was contacted again. They had sent the check...OMG, they freakin what????? Yes, they sent a check. they gave me the UPS routing number and it was on its way. So I panic, what do I do, I decided to call the police and speak to the Internet Crimes Detective. I got a voice mail. But he does return my call Monday morning. I explain and he says he will call me back. I didn't hear anything till this morning. He had the check in his hand, and he sounded all excited. Finally someone was smart and didn't get scammed. He explained how he and his partner get 10 of these a week and none of them are so lucky. So I scammed the scam artist! There is much more to the story, and it all hasn't unravled yet. The account the check was drafted out on had the funds to cover it. (unlike most of them) the company the check was made out on was a real company, it was not a good check from the company. The owner didn't even know this was going on and was grateful to find out as they are looking in to the account now to see how many were bad checks. The detective said that the secret service would be handling this now. If I save just one of you from falling in to the clinches of these scam artist, it was all worth the fun of teasing the heck out of them. I chat but between chatting I am taking care of my kids, making dinner, fixing booboos, mending broken hearts, playing referee between my 4 kids. I visit my parents, talk on the phone with friends. Meet out for drinks or coffee. So where does someone get off saying I sit my fat ass online all day.
