I want to thank everyone in Colorado and elsewhere throughout the country that continue to support the troops. As I am about to embark on my second tour of Iraq I am reminded how fortunate I am to wake up every morning and wear this uniform. Thank you for giving me that chance, I am truly blessed.

Thank you all very much for your support. Mostly I want to thank the spouses for their support too. I am married and I love my wife more than anything. I know this has been hard on us, but no matter how bad it's getting she is still there. I know the husbands and wives and children are under a lot of stress when we are gone so thank you. As for all the other people, thank you too just as much I just think that the families should get some recognition because without their support, we wouldn't be able to do this. So thank you all.

Happy New Year to each and every one of you!! I have proudly served our Navy for almost 18 years now and never knew how large a support group we had all over the U.S. It is truly awesome and reading some of the letters has left me with serious chicken skin. I am a single mom of two young daughters and deploying, leaving them behind, has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Thanks to so much appreciation, support, prayers and encouraging words - it makes me realize the temporary separation, although very hard, is worth it - every bit of it. I've been serving in the USAf for 8 years, and I am currently stationed in San Antonio, Texas. I wanted to take a minute and thank all who support the military at home and abroad. These past 5 years have been rough on the military and the image of the military. Deploying away from my home, my family and my friends was one of the toughest things to do, but I will willingly go again. I want to thank everyone for their support and unfaltering love, encouragement, and stick-through-it attitudes: being there for the troops regardless of political views and opinions. Our guys are out there every night, and the support from our friends and family back home, even support from our neighbors whose names we might not even know, helps us stay strong and fight through it so we can defend our country and come home safe at the end of the day. Thanks to all who support us and our families that are left behind. A special thanks goes to the military welcomers in Bangor, Maine.
