| Over the years I have had opportunity after opportunity to join the military. I have been giving it much consideration and decided that if I were ever to join that I would want to try for Special Forces. This made me rule out ever being able to have a family due to the belief that it would be to strenuous on loved ones. Well, the years have passed and with every year, I see myself getting closer and closer to giving into the letters, phone calls, emails, and even officers that ring the door bell. Now, I am at a crossroads. Doing some research, I have found that as a newly commissioned officer, I will be able to make at least $54K a year plus dental and health and a nice bonus. (This includes the allowances and such for food and housing). I am pretty much on the fence. Lately, I have gotten more support for me going in than I ever have. That support has got me about 85% there. I always like opinions and value what people think. Sooooo, what do you think??? Simple Yes or No...leave a comment if you want! |
