Moving through the clouds
Trying to find my way
Trying to figure out
Why my hearts been left in the dark
Why I could not see
Things as they are
But none of that matters now
Or so I tell myself…
It just brings me here
To this place where it all began
Where my troubles found a home
Inside this lifeless can
I can hear it calling out
Come take a sip
Just one more sip
And you will forget her
You will forget it all
For only I can make you better
Fore only I can make you whole…
I’m moving through the clouds
Flying ever so high
On this rocky road called love
Fighting for a day
When I can hold her and say
That it was all worth it
in the end
and though I hold these hopes
I am left without a clue
As to what I need to be
Or what I need to do
And it has brought me here
To this place where it all began
Where my troubles found a home
Inside this lifeless can
They say that the best way
To forget those you love
To drown away the pain
Is to take that first drink
And though I want so much
To end my pain
I still see her face
In the face of every woman around
I can still feel her touch
Deep upon my heart
And so what now dear friend
And it brought me here
To this place where it all began
Where my troubles found a home
Inside this lifeless can
With promises of forgetting
Of going on another day
But all it’d do
Is leave me empty inside
Because if I forget her
I’ll forget what it is like
To live…
