mum expired. [EVERYONE]

I am a true Redhead, but as I get older my hair has been getting lighter and lighter. I dye it every couple of months to keep it the dark Red that it was in my teens and 20's because i love it. BUT, i find that i am killing my poor hair. Should i continue to dye it so that its the color that i love it to be, OR should i just let it grow out and let it stay the light reddish blond it has become?
