Days have gone past
Still I have not heard
On the phone or on paper
From you not a word.

The longer this goes
The more we fall apart
Just like the sun setting
The more you're in the dark.

Another wall now in place
That has to be overcome
Another that has to be conquered
Before we are all but done.

So please keep me in your heart
And you will stay in mine
It won't be long til I hold you
It's just a matter of time.
