Music
Where do I begin with music....I was raised on what we now know as classic Country Music. Anywhere from Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, The Statler Brothers, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Jerry Reed, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams and Marty Robbins. This List could go on and on.
Being Born in the 70's i was also raised on what we know as the Disco era...oh yeah put on your roller skates and check this out. Abba, Bee Gees, Kool & The Gang, Lipps, Inc., Rick James, Wild Cherry, Van McCoy and lets not forget KC And The Sunshine Band. There was also some killer classic rock from the 70's that will go on forever. Artists such as Ramones, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Electric Light Orchestra, David Bowie, Queen, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Kiss and one of my favorite guitarists Ted Nugent.
Then comes the 80's! Wow what an era for music. As the disco lights faded, music from the 80's evolved into a whole new style, and im not just talking parachute pants and big hair. Here is my short list of 80's bands and artists that I am sure you will remember. Duran Duran, Blondie, Tears for Fears, Eurythmics, Cyndi Lauper, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Simple Minds, Michael Jackson, Journey, The Cars, The B-52's, Culture Club, Bananarama and Huey Lewis & The News. Then yjere was bands such as Van Halen, Whitesnake, The Scorpions, Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Ratt, Ozzy Ozbourne, Megadeath and Judas Priest. Some of these artists are not with us anymore but their music lives on in alot of us.
This was just part of the 80's music revolution as Rap music would come alive as well with artists such as Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, N.W.A, Public Enemy, Slick Rick, Salt & Pepa, Heavy D, DJ Jazzy Jeff And The Fresh Prince, MC Hammer, Tone Loc, Sir Mix Alot, Fat Boys, 2 Live Crew and Too $hort.
Now its time for the 90's. What can I say but hold on. Starting off with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alice In Chains, Green Day, Soundgarden, Nine Inch Nails, Rage Against The Machine, Korn, Jane’s Addiction, Stone Temple Pilots, Pantera, Marilyn Manson, Silverchair, Creed, Bush, Blind Melon, Live, The Offspring, Everclear, Nine Inch Nails, Candlebox, Incubus and Rammstein.
As you can see I am a music junkie! I like all kinds of music from now to then and probably beyond. Music is a big part of our lives and now you have stepped into my world and had a few flashbacks of your own by reading this. Hope you enjoyed it and ("Keep On Rocking In The Free World" Neil Young)
