Worked, good exercise-walk downtown, saw two episodes of
24 I'd missed. No appointment tomorrow morning, so off to work- hopefully earlier than, say, the last few days :)
(And yes, this is the week in which Nikolay Myaskovsky, a composer whose music I've enjoyed since early my college years and about whom I wrote a prosaic descriptive essay just after grad school or so that still exists on the web-
this page - maybe around 1994 with some updates since- Myaskovsky and also another composer, Roslavets, share this week,
Composer of the Week status on BBC Radio 3. Recommend catching this past Monday's program which one can do until next Monday, etc.- an hour each. Listened to part of that program that was broadcast on Monday, with two works by Roslavets and one by Myaskovsky- caught the two by Roslavets, one of which I've heard before- and liked the program, music and presentation both.)
