One of THE FANTASTIC FOUR in the audience (Michael Chiklis)!!!! At the Kodak!! By the way, that's the official theatre for THE OSCARS...It's quite an impressive venue & definitely adds impact to the proceedings. I love the Oscars & AI, so you can only imagine what place I was in. Last year's finale was so exciting,that I think everyone was expecting a show of that caliber. But this year's did not match up. However, on its own I thought that it was tres entertaining. But you could probably put anything on at this point & I'd be enthralled. Even Bette was almost entertaining. No, not quite....was that Kathy Grifffin hijacking Ms. Midler's corpus delicti. What exactly was that?
Can you believe we have watched 49+ hours of this behemoth? And it all comes down to this bloated final results show?
Didn't particularily like the Golden Idol Awards; thought that they would have been more meaningful given out to legimate performances. Ex-centric, indeed....
I don't care what her label & Clive Davis says, Kelly's new album sounds tasty. I still think she should play Janis Joplin in that long delayed biopic.

The two Top 6 group song were just fine, especially the guys with Smokey. Their harmonies were even better than the gals.
Carrie--you have really grown as a singer. Loved how sincerely touching your version of I'LL STAND BY YOU was!!!!! Even though you sang it before on this show...
African Children's Chorus---so cute!!!!!!!!
Didn't care for Taylor Hicks' HEAVEN KNOWS & the Jordin/Ruben Studdard duet or the Beatles medley. Poor John & George are rolling in their you-know-whats!!!!
All in all, a fun show.....but sad that it's over.....cue those violins!
