As I sit on the toolbox of my old truck watching the horse slow eat hay and watching the sun fade into the western horizon I think "this is a mighty nice site". I hear the cicada's singing their lonesome song in the trees, the crickets slowly star to come from hiding to enjoy the on-coming night, the coyote howling somewhere in the distance calling for the rest of the pack, and just then a lone doe barely visible in the fading light walks from the brush sniffing the air wondering if it's safe to come from hiding for a drink before scaveging for food during the night. I dare not make a move knowing she would see and run for her life. She jumps the fence and slowly walks to the water trough taking a drink and then another and walks away. The dog sitting there keeping a ever faithful watch for varmits, snakes and such. Ears percking up and listening to every song the night has to bring. Even though it was a sight to see it still missed something of being perfect, that special someone sitting next to me seeing the same thing i was seeing.

I think can life really get better than this? People get so caught up in life of working till they are dog tired so they can have the best of everything. The newest clothes or shoes that are in fashion, flat screen tv"s, new cars, etc but yet I sit and wonder does anyone ever really just stop and take the time out if only for a mere second and see what is really there. I don't mean the concrete and stell that todays world has become, but what the bigman upstairs created for all to see. 

I appreciate whomever takes the time to read this, it's not meant for anyone inperticular and really i reckon it's nothing more than ramblings from a ole saddletramp like me. I'm obliged to all of you that takes a moment of your time for this.
