Dusty's blog: "Thought for the Day"

Hello Friends I just figured I would write a blog in an effort to "catch up" a bit. This week has been incredulous!! Monday I worked a normal 8.5 hour day for the last time at our old store. Tuesday was an 11 hour work day spent packing up our entire store, loading up the trucks, going to our new store, unpacking the trucks and attempting some sort of organization. Yesterday, Wednesday, was a 15 hour work day spent unpacking about a zillion boxes. Since our store quadrupled in size, we added an additional 32 boxes of product (lube, adult toys, lingerie, smoke items, etc) that all got processed by yours truly. We added an additional 3 display cases to our smoke shop for MORE of your tobacco smoking pleasure! (hehe) We added an entire new Lingerie line (the ladies are going to LOVE this). We now have 5 mannequins that we also put together and clothed in our new lingerie (omg they're HAWT!!) LOL I actually caught my boss talking to one of them as she was putting on her wig LMAO!! So yeah, it's been a long, back breaking week so far!! There has only been 7 of us working on ALL this and I must say I'm UBER IMPRESSED with us! We're all past the point of exhaustion but as our new store comes together, all of our efforts are clearly paying off! I wish I could take pictures for you just cuz I'm so proud of our new place (cameras are forbidden because of the type of merchandise we sell, sorry!) lol I feel very lucky to be a part of all this. Our (old) store has been around FOREVER. It's a landmark of sorts in my city and those who travel through my city since its easily seen from the highway. The city bought up all the property along Highway 41 (west) for Highway expansion. Our grand opening is scheduled for this Friday the 13th, but we might actually open later this evening. I'm also scheduled to work the Grand Opening tomorrow which is the same day of my Mother's heart surgery that I was already told I cannot attend because of the grand opening. That's okay, I want to open the new store and I will still be available should anything happen during her surgery. I'll be going to the hospital with her around 5:30am and spending what time I can with her until I go to work at 7:30am. I do have the weekend off but it will most likely be spent taking care of Mom until she can do for herself again. We'll see. So that's been my week so far. Now you know why I haven't been around all that much lol. Been a little busy! I wish you all well and hopefully I'll get some 1 on 1 time with you SOON!! Much love, ~Dusty~

Hello Friends :) I just wanted to tell you all that I miss you! I have been working INSANE hours at my job lately (for what feels like a month straight now). I'm not home much and when I am... I am just too exhausted to even Fu! Imagine THAT! I just wanted you all to know that I haven't forgot you, I'm not being rude by not rating or leaving comments on a regular basis... I'm just being swallowed whole by life at the moment. Hopefully this week my schedule will return to "normal" (whatever that means!) so you should be seeing more of me... lucky you! hehe Have a great week and I love ya! ~Dusty~ xoxo
