Many of us don't truely know what love is..Or appreciate the true meaning. Maybe both in some situations. "I love you" gets tossed around ALL the time on a daily basis from people who don't even know what it means. I'm not talking about when you really like someone, and you think you love them, things don't work out and then you forget everything about them like they never existed. That's not love, not even close to it.
I mean TRUE love. The love that you have for a person that's so strong it tears you upside when you see the other person unhappy. That no matter what the circumstance is you put their feelings before yours. That you always want to work things out because you can't imagine how it would be if you didn't. You would do anything not to let that person go. You can't imagine them with anyone else because you know they're the one for you. You prove in actions- not words how much their love means to you. When you love someone that person is constantly on your mind- from morning, all throughout the day, and at night. You want to do "the little things" because they mean the most. You want to appreciate the things they do for you, and you do. You do things for them "just because".
You need to hear their voice before you go to sleep. When you see them, your hearts complete. It's the ability to be yourself and let your guards down. TRUE LOVE is giving a person the ability to DESTROY you but trusting them not to.
Let's face reality though, Love isn't always going to be full of bliss, and passion. There are going to be fights, If there wasn't any kind of fighting it's not a healthy relationship. There will be some jealousy. There will be "that ex" that you know they loved, or a crazy ex that wants to ruin everything. There will be tears. There will be words that shouldn't of been exchanged, but were out of anger. There will be pain. IF IT WASN'T LOVE, it WOULDN'T hurt. LOVE does hurt sometimes, but TRUE love overcomes that.
What i'm trying to say is that no one's perfect. And I know I say that ALL the time to every one but it's true. Sometimes people look and strive so much for perfection that they're never going to find someone for them. It doesn't exist. Everyone has made mistakes. We all have lied. We all have done things in the past. In order to build lasting relationships with people we need to all realize that even though it is the past, it will play a part in future relationships. It's hard to trust someone after you've been hurt all your life. We let these things push away people we care about. Why don't we just hold on when we find that one exception?
Hold onto the person you love..
You can never take love for granted..
& What's meant to be...will be...always.
