So it's been a long while.

I've been working my ass off to finish school and get the hours I need to graduate with my certifications as an Executive Chef.

So here's the recent status of my life, for those who care:

I will most likely kill myself for one more semester, and double up in the fall to get the hell out of there!

I don't have any free time. Not even a little. I work 5 days a week. I go to school 2 days a week, and when I'm not at those places, I am parked my fat butt in my bed sleeping or working on my menus for my 217 class next semester.

I am rarely here because I don't have internet at home, and none of my neighbors have open wifi I can jack. Paying for school has me scraping by, barely, but it will pay off soon enough. Also, I just really don't have shit for time to pay attention to anything else by a few loads of laundry before I pass out from sheer exhaustion.

I will post some incredible food porn for you guys when I can. Again, VIP to do that, not so much imporance. Paying bills, very. Responsible adulthood sucks balls.

But on a side note, since I'm looking for new and interesting ideas for my menus, feel free to send me some suggestions.

Sorry I've been such a shitty friend lately. Just dealing with some real life issues.

I'll be here less and less. Between work and doctors and family bullshit, I'm rarely here anyway.

I am not going to get all emo and pour it all out here, because, for the most part, it's no one else's business. If you're close to me, and you want to know, you can feel free to ask. Otherwise, I'll see you when I pop in from time to time.

Well, as you should know if you pay ANY attention, I did get my dog back. I also had myself a slight altercation (just verbal) with the idiots who run the animal shelter in Jefferson Parish, as I would not allow them to alter my dog.

I, being the kind of person that presses issues until they are resolved, contacted the local parish president, and the district attorney's office to file a complaint. I explained the situation to her, as well as the conditions as they exist in the neighborhood. Out here, well, we have crime. Kids and burglars will release animals from yards on purpose, steal, or poison them just to be able to break in the house later. This is a recurring problem, and those of us who take the precautions to be able to recover our animals if those things happen are the ones that get punished by the Parish's laws.

Long story short, the Parish's attorney has advised the parish to include specific provisions to account for these issues in the event our dogs are purposefully released or stolen. So a morning that started in the toilet (literally, I was puking) ended up being pretty productive.

So as most of my friends already know, I am almost finished the renovations! It's been a really long, annoying road to get this all done, but progress has been made in leaps and bounds as of late!

If you've been wondering where the hell I have gone, that's where. Sorry, but getting the house finished and moving in is way more important to me than this place is.

I finally have a real kitchen! All I need now is my sink hooked up and it's totally done! My dad is bringing my fridge to the house tomorrow and finishing installing my sink.

This weekend, John Paul is coming to do the bathroom floor, then I can finish my master bathroom! After that's finished, I can gut and redo my guest bathroom and I'm finished with the inside!

This has been a large portion of my time and energy for the last 5 months, and I can now breathe!

All that is left after that is my fence!

Now it's time for a vacation!
