Meanwhile, Windsor (womens basketball), Carleton (mens basketball), McGill (womens hockey), Alberta (mens hockey & mens volleyball), UBC (womens swimming) and Toronto (mens swimming) all hold on to the pole position in their respective disciplines. This marks the end of CIS national rankings for the fall semester. Top Ten Tuesday will resume on January 8, 2013. Wrestling In womens wrestling, the Badgers open at No. 1 after claiming the programs first CIS banner in a decade, last February in Thunder Bay. Alberta, Saskatchewan, Regina and Lakehead round out the top five. On the mens side, the Stingers repeated as national champions last season thanks to a narrow two-point lead over Regina in the team standings. Alberta, Western, Regina and McMaster follow in order in the inaugural Top 10. Womens volleyball In womens volleyball, reigning five-time CIS champ UBC returns to the No. 1 spot after spending the last six weeks in second place behind archrival Trinity Western. While the T-Birds (11-1) closed out the fall semester last weekend with a pair of straight-set wins over Manitoba, the Spartans (10-2), who drop to No. 2 in the new poll, were upset 3-1 by UBC Okanagan on Saturday before rebounding with a 3-1 victory of their own in Sundays rematch. Also of note at the halfway mark of the regular season, the No. 5 York Lions (8-0) head into the December break as the only undefeated team in the country. Mens volleyball In mens volleyball, three squads end the first portion of the regular schedule with unblemished records, including Alberta (12-0), No. 2 McMaster (9-0) and No. 4 Laval (10-0). The top-ranked Golden Bears wrapped up the fall semester in convincing fashion last weekend with a 3-1, 3-0 sweep against Canada West newcomer Mount Royal. Meanwhile, defending two-time CIS champion, No. 3 Trinity Western, is once again enjoying a solid campaign and currently sits in second place in the Canada West standings with a 10-2 mark. Womens basketball In womens basketball, reigning two-time Bronze Baby Trophy champion Windsor heads into the mid-season break with a perfect 7-0 record but has to share the OUA West lead with the No. 10 Brock Badgers (7-0), who are also unbeaten in league play. The top-ranked Lancers defeated Queens 72-64 last Friday in Kingston in their lone outing of the past weekend.  The No. 4 Saint Marys Huskies are also perfect after seven league contests and enjoy a six-point lead atop the AUS standings.   Mens basketball In mens hoops, defending two-time W.P. McGee Trophy champ Carleton closed out the fall semester last weekend with convincing road wins over Waterloo, 73-43, and Laurier, 100-72. The Ravens (7-1) have won seven straight since a season-opening loss at No. 8 Windsor (5-2). Three CIS teams are still undefeated in league play, including No. 2 Acadia (6-0), No. 4 Cape Breton (7-0) and No. 9 Ryerson (8-0). Womens hockey In womens hockey, top-ranked McGill (11-0) is the only unbeaten squad in the nation at the end of the fall semester thanks to a 4-0 shutout against Carleton, last Friday. The Martlets also defeated visiting NCAA rival Brown 3-1 in non-conference action, on Saturday. The reigning CIS titlist Calgary Dinos are ranked No. 2 nationally and currently sit atop the Canada West standings with a 13-2-1 record. Mens hockey In mens hockey, top-seeded Alberta wrapped up the fall portion of the schedule with a weekend split against No. 9 Manitoba (9-4-3) in Winnipeg, including a 3-2 shootout win in Fridays series opener and a 4-2 loss on Saturday. The Golden Bears (14-4-0) hold a slim two-point advantage over No. 3 Saskatchewan (13-3-0) in the Canada West standings at the break but the Huskies have two games in hand. The McGill Redmen (10-5-0), who lost a number of key players to graduation after they captured the first University Cup title in school history last March, have spent most of first semester out of the Top 10 but have rebounded nicely from an 0-3 start and have now won four straight league contests and eight of their last 10. Linebacker Colin McCarthy (concussion), receiver Damian Williams (hamstring) and defensive end Scott Solomon (knee) also are listed as questionable, but they practiced Friday and have a better chance of playing. He started serving his suspension on Wednesday and will miss one turn in the rotation. http://www.thefalconsfanstore.com/authentic-tony-gonzalez-super-bowl-jersey/ . -- Josh Smith had 24 points, Lou Williams scored 18 of his 21 in the second half, and the Atlanta Hawks beat the Memphis Grizzlies 93-83 on Saturday night. Peter Konz Womens Jersey . -- Facing the Montreal Alouettes brings out the best in Chad Owens. Roddy White Falcons Jersey . Thats when he got his first lesson. "Its CHOWDA, Shane!" Red Sox centre fielder Jacoby Ellsbury corrected him. "That was the first real message from Jacoby for Boston," Victorino said Thursday at a news conference to announce the $39 million, three-year deal he agreed to at the winter meetings. BALTIMORE -- Zach Britton made an ample contribution to the Baltimore Orioles pennant drive, striking out a career-high 10 over eight innings in a win over the Chicago White Sox. Then, as his teammates prepared to take a train to New York for a huge series against the Yankees, Britton packed his bags for a drive to Norfolk, home of Baltimores Triple-A affiliate. He wont be gone for long. Brittons stellar pitching performance, along with home runs by Taylor Teagarden and Adam Jones, carried the Orioles to a 5-3 victory Thursday. Baltimore took three of four from the AL Central-leading White Sox to complete a 5-1 homestand that started with a two-game sweep of Toronto. The Orioles now stand within three games of the idle AL East-leading Yankees, who will be trying to retain that margin in the three-game series that begins Friday night. "Trust me, this group is going to have fun with it," Baltimore manager Buck Showalter said. The Orioles head north with a suitcase full of momentum. "Its nice to take this one to New York," said Britton, who was optioned to Norfolk after the game to make room for left-hander Randy Wolf, signed Thursday after being cut by Milwaukee last week. Britton (4-1) gave up one run, seven hits and did not issue a walk. He fanned Dewayne Wise three times and eclipsed his previous single-game career high of seven strikeouts by the fifth inning. "I think Zach will be back," Showalter said, adding, "Zach was hiding from me tonight." The Orioles cant wait for his return. "If he can go out and give you eight innings with no walks, hes going to be hard to beat," Jones said. "That was the most impressive Ive seen him." Britton allowed hits to five of the first nine batters he faced, but finished by retiring 19 of 21. After Pedro Strop surrendered two singles in the ninth, Jim Johnson got an out, then gave up a two-run single to Alexei Ramirez before striking out Gordon Beckham for his 41st save. The game drew a crowd of 10,141, smallest of the season at Camden Yards. There should be substantially more fans in the stands at Yankee Stadium. "Our guys arent going up there to experience the atmosphere," Showalter said. "Theyre going to try to compete with the team were trying to catch." Ramirez went 7 for 13 with five RBIs in the series, but the White Sox finished 2-6 against Balttimore this season. Sean Weatherspoon Falcons Jersey. Chicago next travels to Detroit for a showdown between the top two teams in the AL Central. "Youve got to go in there and put this series behind us and hopefully go into Detroit and play well," catcher A.J. Pierzynski said. "The Orioles are playing well right now. They have a confidence about them, especially at home. Were out of here now and we have to worry about Detroit." Rookie Jose Quintana (5-3) allowed five runs and seven hits in 3 2-3 innings, matching the shortest outing of his career. He entered with an 0.88 ERA in day games and was 3-0 with a 3.34 ERA in nine road starts. His downfall came in the second, when he gave up five straight extra-base hits. "They got to him in that inning," manager Robin Ventura said. "Everything was kind of up and kind of the same speed, really. They can hit, and they got him." Teagarden, the backup catcher behind Matt Wieters, came in batting .086 (3 for 35). In addition to his third-inning home run, he also doubled in a run in the fourth. Chicago wasted a double by newcomer Jose Lopez in the first inning, then scored only one run on four hits in the second. After Pierzynski was thrown out at the plate by Jones trying to score from second on a single to centre by Ramirez, Beckham hit a two-out RBI single before Wise struck out with runners on the corners. Quintana opened by getting eight straight outs before Teagarden hit an opposite-field drive to right, the first of five straight two-out extra-base hits by the Orioles. Nick Markakis and J.J. Hardy followed with doubles and Jones hit his career-high 26th home run before Mark Reynolds capped the surge with a double. Baltimore made it 5-1 in the fourth when Nate McLouth singled and Teagarden doubled to centre. NOTES: The White Sox purchased the contract of Lopez from Triple-A Charlotte, placed C Tyler Flowers on the paternity list, purchased the contract of C Hector Gimenez from Charlotte, moved RHP Brian Bruney (hip) to the 60-day DL and released RHP Gregory Infante. ... Four of Teagardens five hits this season are for extra bases -- two homers and two doubles. ... Orioles DH Nick Johnson, who went on the DL in late June with a wrist injury, is likely done for the season, Showalter said. ... Chicago outhit Baltimore 10-8. The Orioles improved to 18-48 when getting outhit. ' ' '
