There is a time when everyone gives up hope,
Even I have more than once while searching for the light,
I have searched for many eons for where I truly belong,
I think I have finally found it in the arms of another,
But I do not know weather she will accept me,
I've searched in the form of a fox bowing only to one other,
But now my heart sinks after being left in the moonlight to search again,
Hoping to find the one i search the darkness for her,
In her eyes i see the love and caring i have been searching for,
I lay a dozen roses at her feet before moving back,
I watch as she picks them up and smiles reaching out her hand,
I move slowly towards the hand fearing the worst,
But in turn I am not turned away but comforted,
I become happy and hopeful that someone does want me,
I look for my voice but find it lost in the past,
She starts to walk away but with no voice i can't call her back,
I become sadden again thinking I would be alone forever,
She turns around and notices the tears in my eyes,
I hope to be taken in as a pet or as something more,
I become confused at my own feelings not knowing what to do,
I want to be hers but i am afraid she will not want me,
She turns to leave once more but this time beckons my to follow,
I follow slowly a few feet behind her not knowing if i could trust her,
Then i hear her voice signing like a river through a meadow soft and peaceful,
I then start trying to talk and fail no matter how hard i try,
Wanting to sign with the beautiful person i will my self to sign with her,
My voice coming ou tin soothing and calm waves adding to the majestic melody,
When the song is through i ask to stay with her but have yet to get an answer.
