What are you waiting for?

For the love of the game

I sit here viewing my home page alone, unsure of tomorrow and not satisfied with the loss of another empty day. I begin to reflect on the page that glares back at me and I begin to remember why I joined this site and the joy it has given me over the past two years. The allure of the social networking was the initial draw, the hopes of a friendship was the clincher to make me hit the join button. I did not know that Fubar was more than a social virtual reality time killer until I began to move up levels, My excitement was so child like when I was first Fu-Owned by Cathey for over a million...LOL There was the draw....Play the game and match my real life wealth with the wealth of fu-money too. Game on I thought and off to fu land I went to conqour and accumalate the status of a Fu master.....Oh the fun it was to accumalate friends, fans and chat buddies. I began to tell my real life friends of the site and noticed they did not see the draw and worried about the theme of being "Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition" (FUBAR) as I am an Ex drinker. No matter I thought, their loss.

I began my FU adventure innocently, random checking the site for mail and user comments, rating others and building my friend and fan base. It was not long after I joined that I made some chat buddies, How cool I thought, I had friends here that wanted to chat and know about my day so I began to sign on more often and chat and of course play the wealth game and working hard to level often. I must confess here and now that I dont like to lose and am considered by most a winner in most things in life.....I dont fail I just try harder is my moto. I did not notice at first how much time I was spending on the site or what I was putting off to do it. My addictive side had kicked in and I became a FU regular (One who makes FU a part of there daily life). This in and by its self is not a bad thing, many have there hobbies and FUBAR was mine and to that end I could justify the time I spent on the site. I began to see that I was not the only FU regular on the site and quickly became friends with others like me that could help me see the road to winning on this site. I began to formulate a strategy with the help of others and could see the path to playing the game to win and be as I had always been before in real life, the golden boy of FUBAR......LOL how innocent I was........

The years on FUBAR have passed by like Chapters in a best selling Novel. The past four years since writing the words of an innocent newbie on this site have brought many stories to mind, many bring a smile to me as I reflect on them and others bring a tear or two as I have lost friends in real life whom I met on this site. The FU-Regulars know what I mean when I say that fubar to us is more than just a internet social media site, for many of us it is as real to us as if we were going to a real life social club or bar down the street. The names we see when we sign on have as much charecter and personality as anyone else we know in real life, we look forward to hearing how their day was, and we are there for them on this black hole of internet madness as much as we are for friends in real life...Yes newbies hold on, your in for a hell of a ride when your Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition (FUBAR) on this site.

In October of 2009 I began to explore other segments of the site, specifically FU-Mafia. This area of FUBAR is under the Games Tab of your home page. I, the one person in real life who had never played a computer/internet game in my life, clicked on the ad for it and was instantly captivated by it. Imagine this if you will, Your in a real life town, The Red Light district lets say, You see a place called The Brothel, a biker club, A place for ladies called Dark Angels of Mafia, Theres a weapons depot, a secret training club called Supa KRU where advanced killing techniques are being taught, a church like organization called The Apocolypse, a city planning building where you can buy a property or Business..No questions asked, Cash Only Please...and my favorite lace...Warlords. Yes friends you just entered Mafia and watch out...unless you have friends in high places, your chances of being hit listed/Killed are very high in the beggining of your journey. These "Joints" are called Turfs, each named for a specific interest or Game strategy, designed to get new associates to join there turf. That first day hundreds of these turfs were formed and within a few weeks as we all began to feel comfortable with what the hell you do to build up a mobster, it was Game on....(More to Come)

A Stranger Or A Friend?

Stranger, our paths may have crossed by chance, or perhaps destiny has brought us to a point in our journey that requires us to meet, If I should fail to raise my hand and greet you, will I have closed the door to the opportunity that you may have shown me the path that will lead to my destiny?  Will walking away from you deny you information to guide you on your journey? If we crossed paths by chance will it harm me in any way to smile and say “Have a Nice Day”. Or could it be that by walking away from you, I have just walked away from my own Destiny…

The only strangers in my life today are those people I have yet to meet, The friends in my life today were at one time considered strangers by me until we took a chance by simply saying Hi…. Will you be the stranger who crossed my path today that I may greet and then consider renaming as my Friend?

“My journey to a destination unknown to me has taken me down many paths that intersect with strangers whom upon a simple hello turn from a stranger to a Friend”

I have received several messages asking me why I freely divulge my wealth: This Blog will answer these questions....

You should not tell people that your wealthy because then they will only be interested in you for your money” --- or  I am asked “How do I know if a women is only interested in me because of my money”  Oh come on guys I would not represent my wealth if I did not consider both questions before I included it in my profile. First, I come from a very poor family; I know the meaning of broke better than most. I made my first million by the age of 30 and have dealt with the stigma associated with wealth ever since. There will always be people who are more interested in my wealth at first, and for the most part, want to know how I got so rich.  The truth is the myth of a wealthy man losing all his money to a gold digger is just that, a myth. We are on guard always to the motives of people we meet more so than the average person. It is easy to see those who want something for nothing, it’s not women I am concerned about, it’s the stock brokers that scare the hell out of me. So what if what I have to offer someone includes the fact that I am wealthy, it’s part of the package, a fringe benefit of sorts. I am a package deal just as we all are on Fubar. The other comment I get occasionally that does frustrate me is “You should hide your wealth so you can meet someone who you know is truly interested in you for who you are not what you have” Let me say this, I have not heard someone say to a women with breast implants that she should hide them to avoid the guys who may be attracted to her based solely on the size of her chest. Gene Simmons of Kiss openly advertises his tongue and all it represents, should he keep his mouth shut? What would happen to kiss if Gene Simmons showed no tongue? If you are a personal trainer with a hard body should you hide that fact and tell others that you’re a couch potato. It’s no secret that the women on this site that have a sexy picture get more hits than the ladies who show nothing, I have not heard a man complain that they should hide their sex appeal. We all know that sex sells or at least gets the attention of men more often than not.  There are many women on Fubar that use it to attract men to their profile. The hard truth is that for a man considered handsome,  and not a Brad Pitt type,  he may need to pull out that extra about him that sets him apart from the pack . Is it not common sense to go into shark infested waters on a boat not a raft. What would you choose to go out in? The raft offers nothing in the way of security that would appeal to someone who was offered the security of a boat instead. Therefore I see nothing wrong with women wanting to have financial security as part of their decision process when it comes to a meaningful relationship, wealth of course provides the financial security. She should not be judged for it either. The bottom line is we all represent the best of us in our profile, simply stated the profile is just a snap shot of the person, a picture we have taken ourselves that we want the public to see in the hopes that the package we represent will open a door to the possibility that we may have enough in common to build a friendship.

I am here to make friends, share my life and the things that God has so freely blessed me with and give you a glimpse of the life style I have that many have a misconception of. I have made some friends on this site that I look forward to chatting with each day, that is what the site has given me. I am grateful to be a part of the Fubar family so please accept me and be my friend. Please don’t tell me this either, I already know from experience that there are more important things in life than money!!
