Use caution when you speak…
Words of love and want,
You’ve crossed the path,
Of an aging warrior…
The bravest of brave hearts.
Gutsy and strong…
From many a battle,
Where pain was placed…
Into his heart,
By those who cowered…
And ran…
From unconditional love.
Not a boundary,
He wouldn’t cross…
If asked in the name of love,
He’d go the distance…
Every time,
Following his heart.
Few have noticed,
The toll it’s taken…
So accustomed to him,
And his ways.
But in your hour of truth…
He’ll lay it all out…
For you to see.
Let your touch be gentle at first,
Till he comes to trust you hand…
Upon his leathered skin,
Kiss him with eyes open…
So he can watch your soul’s response.
And if it does not fill…
To overflowing…
With the very man he is,
He’ll close his eyes,
And feel your lust…
Till morning light appears.
If you should wake before him…
Speak softly to his heart,
That’s when he’ll take another look,
If then your heart’s afire.
And if he sees,
He’s hit his target,
Of your soul…
With his yawning love…
He’ll turn to face you,
And softly speak…
The words you long to hear.
