(Before I begin my prologue, so yes, this would infact be a preprologue [or in the truest sence a preamble] please allow a brief explanation of self. Hitherto my musings here have been poetry and a few short works. The Faceless is indeed one of these short works but was written very stream of consciousness, hence its original presentation in pieces. This process is neither easier nor harder, bertter or worse, its just the "process" by which I most frequent write these days. There is rarely if ever any editing, except maybe to correct typos, later. This is going to be a play. I may do some early prewrites or write it here and then correct later, editing. So if you are following this you may want to check back here and there and PLEASE point out any mistakes or incongruities you find.)
The Trial of the Fool: Prologue
(Wearing a long cloak and face covering hood)Narrator: "My darling ladies and esteemed gentlemen, before the lights are raised completely allow me to set the stage. Be it logged into your memories, not everything can be viewed with beginning, middle, and end and must be seen as is. See the world as it rotates around you. Stand, at the point from which you view things and realize you are where you are, when you are and that is not where this stage is set.
Lend imagination to us and see before you a castle and a court. Knights and their ladies trapse to and fro and days pass on. A king his nobles pass decrees and with the court's approval, a queen and heirs. Soon this tiny kingdom swells and entertainment suitable to such a court is in order. So out from Italy rides Giacomo,"(undoes clasp at the neck and drops cloak to the floor)"Fool to Kings and King of the fools. And so, drawn in as you are, suspended in time held. The writer was my judge and you, the audience my jury. Let the play begin!
