The Storm
As the violent storm rips through the silence of the night.
It seems to match all the emotions I feel inside.
The wind sways and topples trees,
That is exactly what life's problems have done to me.
Lightning flashes and rain begins to fall from the sky.
I take a deep breath and sigh, as the tears fall from my eyes.
I know the storms are needed to help the earth to grow and survive.
I know that my problems will help me to grow and strive,
because of the lessons they leave behind.
The thunder roars and echos through the the night.
I scream and vent all hurt and anger inside.
As the storm passes giving way to sunrise,
I will stand again to fight in dawn's morning light.
