There have been numerous documented cases of so the so called collective human subconciousness manifesting destiny. Two of my favorite examples remain Charlie Chaplin being paged in dozens of hotels simultaneously across America in the early twentieth century even though he was present in none and the drawing of numbers that were all permutations of "911" from the New York State Lottery" one year to the day of the Trade Centre Attacks. Both events are thought to have been caused by large groups of people conciously and subconciously focusing on the subject at hand. In the case of Charlie Chaplin his popularity was at an all time high being the most famous man in the world. Given the limited transfer of information in Chaplin's day made the feat that much more impressive. Today even an old fashioned newspaper gives us more information in one day than a man would have received in ten years a couple of centuries ago. With the rise of mass media via radio transmissions and then television it has helped revolutionalize our world by exponentially exploding the amount of information we receive daily and altering the social evolution of our societies so it stands to reason that if as a species we collectively manifest destiny than mass media is also affecting the evolution of how we collectively manifest. How ironic that if mass media is shaping our perceptions than it is also creating our future through its blueprint that streams into our lives on a daily basis. With the rise of the internet the implications for the future could be staggering because the information stream is turning into a vertical line when plotted on a graph. Countries like China who attempt to control the flow of information moving back and forth through firewalls are doomed to failure as attempting to hold back the internet is like trying to sweep the ocean back with a broom. "They will fail in the long term". The internet is evolving societies open and closed rapidly and we have barely begun to grasp how signifigant it's impact will be. Young people in closed societies are not buying the old guard's bullshit anymore. They are smart, informed and plugged in and they are as informed as anybody so their collective subconcious inertia will be added to to our unfolding reality we are experiencing. With three billion people now connected all people can share ideas and views whether a government like China's likes it or not and that is evolving our collective subconcious in ways that would not have been possible outside of the internet. With this much collective inertia being amassed events of signifigant importance to our species like a cure for cancer or the detonation of a nuclear bomb in a large population centre could have incredible manifestive reactions that might sweep over us like a tsunami tidal wave whether those be good or bad consequences. Never has the world and our species experienced the era we our now entering and the incredible implications that it may hold in our ability to collectively manifest destiny. -the man of pech merle.
