Look around you. Its everywhere if you stop and watch for it. Stop in a crowded mall and put you head down and listen. Subtle at first it sounds like a far away fly. Its buzzing not yet bothersome, but listen.
Standing in a local area of commerce I once tried this, and though I must have looked a might strange, (standing there with no visible agenda.) I felt peaceful compared to some of those around me.
I heard mothers swear at thier children while trying remain quiet from prying ears. Threatening them with physical punishment as they were yanked sharply inside. I heard a man disrespecting his woman, calling her names and making her feel small while "playfully" shoving her sideways causing her to hit the exit door they were entering.
It was dangerous speach I heard in those long three minutes. Dangerous, not because of a possible hidden potential, but dangerous cause of its inevitable evolution.
We have become a society so wrapped up in our own greed that we're slowly destroying ourselves while passing the buck off elsewhere. Its everywhere, from the highest parts of our government, the to the darkest slums in America. (Even drug dealers have a class system of power and respect.) It seems to me like the only time you call you're neighbor over for a BB-Q is when you want to show off your new grill, or the new deck you put in.
It is the one thing that can truthfully keep us the warmest and safest, is the same thing can poison and destroy us. It is money, and its unfortunate side effect? Greed.
