when i was in grade school...the teachers went on strike...it was chaos...and afterwards...a law was passed that it was illegal for teachers and police officers and fire fighters to go on strike for the best interests of the public safety and whatnot.
this included protests.
if they breached this law which was included in their contracts they were fired.
