[This is effectively a sequel to
"The Special Flower"]...
Still amidst the barren desert, you sit alone with the Special Flower, never taking your eyes off of its absolute beauty.
You continue to gaze at the Special Flower, pondering your quandary: Do you leave the flower for someone else, or take it for yourself? Again, you wonder whether you are even worthy to possess such a precious and delicate thing. What if it was not meant for you, but for someone else?
Then it dawns on you: If you leave the Special Flower alone it may stay here forever, alone. It may wilt and die never to have been touched and held by loving hands.
You decide. "I am going to keep you, Special Flower, if you will have me."
Just then, the flower--already the most beautiful thing you have ever seen--begins to bloom some more.
Carefully, you remove the flower from the ground and hold it in your hands ever so gently.
You take a deep breath, hoping you have made the right choice. You put the Special Flower in your shirt pocket, right in front of your heart. Then you begin on your journey again. This time, you are far from alone.
But before you take your first step you notice something... a glow coming from inside your shirt pocket where you placed the Special Flower.
Just when you reach in to take out the flower a glorious light appears and the Special Flower has been tranformed into an angel. The Perfect Angel, in fact. Something so profound and gorgeous that it shakes you to the very fiber of your being. In that instance, you know that you have found your one, true love and that everything from this day forward will be a gift. "Thank you for finding me", she says. You smile and respond with the truth: "Thank you for saving me."
And so, together, you both take your first steps on the road of life. A dreamer, a believer, a lover... and his Perfect Angel.
