What are you waiting for?

Krissy was unlike most girls at the age of 23. She didn't party, hardly ever drank, and she most certainly wasn't in any relationship. Her days were usually spent near the ocean, scratching things down in her custom journal she made five years back when her mother had died. The timing of her mourning showed through all the tattered pages scribbled in black ink. Her salty ocean tears poured out in the book, smearing the neat red lines. Her life was bad back then and not much better now without any friends or family left to talk to. The one thing she depended on was her journal, always within sight. She layed out on the damp cool sand, cradling her diary and soaking up the sun's torturing rays. She closed her sad gray eyes with pleasure as the heat stroked her thin body. Her long dull brunette hair framed around her face and out of her eyes as she balanced her receeding weight on her palm. Her beach bag lay innocently next to her, nearly camoflauging perfectly with the smooth earth. She just barely peeled open her eyes to see the dreadful, yet beautiful yellow sun stinging her brain as she gazed into it. She wanted it to take her away. Her eyes, she thought, were going to burn lobster red like her body used to scorch. A hot tear ran down her high mountain of a cheek bone and touched the corner of her mouth, dampening her dry tongue with her own tears. Her bony hand came up and wiped away the foggy drop that was starting to form in her tear duct. Her journal fell from her lap and into the molehill of sand she had experimented with just moments before. She tore her gaze from the sun's violent rays, closing her eyes again for a long time, this time putting large brown sunglasses on for protection. Krissy looked back on her wall of the past as she relaxed, allowing the weather to dry up her bleeding insides. Her stomach churned just about the thought of her mother's murder and the hurt her father put her through. James, her father, had severe anger problems that had led to a terrible marrige and unfortunatly her mother's death. She remembered every vivid detail of the scene when she got home from her very last day of school for the rest of her life. The very first day of summer after she finished her senior year. She looked back on her high school years and realized how happy she used to be. She was the head cheerleader, the popular one, the girl with the prettiest face and the most friends in the whole school. She remembered how loved she used to feel and how bubbly she used to be. The past tore at her now, forcing her to beg for her long-ago yester years. A bright red frisbee hovered down above her frame, casting a big dark shadow above her pretty face. She didn't have time to react before it hit her with a light force upon her head. "Ow!" She exclaimed, even though it really didn't hurt. The surprise plummeted further when saw the lean and quite handsome man towering above her...
