Instead of running away trying to flee
You need believe in what's inside of you
And then all dreams you can pursue
Hard working, honest person
Insecurity and self doubt will only worsen
Unless you believe in what you are
Which I don't think you have thus far
Loyal, honest and kindhearted
Your life has only started
Things of the past always hold us back
That is why we need to stay on track
It seems life has been passing us by
Our potential is something we always deny
But when the truth is told
The good life will unfold
It will unfold onto our laps
Focusing will be the foundation to make it not collapse
This is something that is deserved
This is something I have observed
Positive thinking will lead the way
But actions will show the message we want to display
Self security and self worth is what we need
Those and some other qualities will help us succeed.
Control of our life and the life that we want
Every one and everything only seems to daunt
Crushing all of our hopes and all of our dreams
It just seems its all or nothing - everything in extremes
We need a foundation and a rock
Then we will be able to open the door that has a lock
We will walk through the door and into our lives
Because life is the journey not where we arrive.
Me, you, us and we
Are all the same, don't you see
All encompassed into one
That is the only way things get done
Weaknesses and strengths are what we possess
To know what they are is a true test
A test that I don't want to take
Personal inventory shows me my mistakes
I look at myself and am down and blue
But all greatness and potential is what I see in you
Everyone has a perception of who others are
But until you've lived their life one can only assume from afar
How easy is it for me to say you can do that or this
When I don't know what in your head really exists
But what I do see is something great
I don't understand why in your head you debate
I know we all have our problems and our pasts
Don't dwell on them or they will for ever last
You are a great person with so much to strive for
I want you to see the whole world and explore
Explore all the options as there are so many
We are not getting younger and will never again be twenty
But we are not too old to mark our spot on this earth
You need to realize how much you are worth
When one realizes their worth and capabilities
Good things should come with greater ease
That is what will happen to you
When you realize the faults you possess are untrue
Only together can we make it
You have recognize your great qualities and commit
Committing to a new life full of change
The known life for the future you have to exchange
As you make the transition, remember where you're from
And then you can see the difference in what you will have become
All is possible with dreams and actions
Stay focused and minimize the distractions
