so my girls are into sports and they are actually decent for their age groups
no clue how that happened cause no matter how hard i tried sports just weren't my thing and it definitely did not come from their father's side
so anyhow tonight i actually got to attend one of my eldest's basketball games some of the girls really amaze me even the shorter ones seem to have extendable arms because they can snatch that ball from any girl no matter how tall the opposing team member is the score is bouncing back and forth they are calling fouls on us left and right even where none exist and not calling any fouls on the other team theres 2 minutes and 36 seconds left in the fourth period and my 16 month old is starting to get antsy she loves her big sis and doesn't understand why she wont hold her she starts crying and then coughing i get her calmed down a bit and tyty(my eldest) turns back and smiles at baby who of course reaches for sis who can not take her because shes about to go back in the game and she starts to cry which causes coughing she coughs so hard she begins puking i am holding her facing me at this point and of course it hits right below my chin and runs down my lint free black shirt and charcoal gray pants which i put on only shortly before the game in an attempt to not embarass my child by dressing in my old comfortable t-shirts and sweats (which i've been informed is soooo not cool mom)so back to my little sideshow i have to stand up in the middle of the gymnasium to a chorus of giggles from the j.v. girls basketball team (we were in the row directly behind them) and everyone (i mean this literally) right down to the opposing teams coach and the refs are staring at me as i holding baby away from body covered in curdled milk half chewed pretzels and what i believe is chicken nuggets from lunch (which by the way stinks to high hell) make a mad dash for nearest exit thankful i'm at my alma mater because i dont have to ask the janitor i see getting mop and bucket ready where the bathrooms are oh by the way during said dash baby puked on me a second time after i get as much off as i can in the lavatory i realize we need to get home quick because im going to be throwing up if i dont get out of that outfit fast at this point baby is happy she got to splash water at mommy in the sink and is giggling waving and stopping to talk to everyone we see we re-enter the gym just as the final buzzer goes off my daughter's tean won 31-29 and everyone is standing looking toward the end of the court we are walking into most of the women (mothers aunts grandmas) are smiling at me with the i sympathize look you know the look i climb back into the stands to grab my stuff they give us a wide berth my eldest is laughing and pointing at my attire with her friends my little brother smiles and turns in the opposite direction and we leave smiling like its no big deal i drove the whole way home with all the windows down
