This morning, the results of a $500,000 study were released by the research team employed by the federal government. Mind you this is OUR tax money being spent. The results of this study concluded that the burning of ethanol (the fuel made by corn and soybeans) leaves a larger "carbon footprint" than the burning of gasoline. Most of us "commonfolk" knew that already, because, well, its common sense.
So in short, a fuel, not fully researched, was forced into the marketplace by the government at the cost of billions to redevelop and redesign cars and trucks, build processing plants, institute infrastructure, and inconvenience hundreds of millions of people. The average annual cost of this undertaking is $750 per man, woman, and child in the U.S. per year.
This study, that cost 500k, could have saved billions, instead it cost us all because people went forward without fully researching the subject.
Makes you wonder how much worse its going to get with the health care system now.
