When the last time I post a blog was on Father's Day an here is the follow up from it... as soon as I just got done posin my blog my phone rang and not to my surprise it was my family on the other end.Here the day hasn't began and I'm already got a annoying phone call wantin to know if I was commin over or not (I should have said no I wasn't but that wouldn't been right of me to do so) so soundin all so trilled I told them I will be over asap. 30 mins went by... 45 mins went by and when just about 50 mins went by and alot of second thinkin I was on my way over. When I was just lockin the front door guess what (if you said that my phone rang again.. u can pat yourself on the back) and here I thought yall wasn't smart. So couple of mins went by ... my cell phone rang ( yall knew it was comming...lol) cause of when I live my cell don't get a good connetion so they had to wait for 2-3 mins to go by before they could call. To make of my surprise (yea right) I found out that not only did I have 6 missed calls but 4 voice messages as well. Telling them that we (my lil family) are just about there... even tho we were on the other side of town lmao. So as soon as I pulled up in my parents driveway I could feel the tention ( it was so thick you need a sharp knife to cut into it). All is well until it happen... dejavu but instead of all the fight being aimed at me it was at my nephew .... shocked at what was all happening you know I just sat and observed what was going on cause believe me I was ready for anything they had to throw at me (besides this). They all went off on him just because he wanted to spend some time with his father (his father.. well that's another story) who was already on his way to spend time with him. (redundant, I know but it's my story)LOL Anyway, after all the screamin, and yellin, fussin and fighting...my nephew was crushed at their refusal to allow him to leave for even a few hours. An hour or two went by before I went and talked to him. I talked to him as a young adult instead of Uncle to nephew to find out what all was goin on and to make sure everything was alright. He told me that all he wanted to do was spend a couple of hours with his dad on Father's Day to acknowledge and give his dad that respect. It was supposed to be his day afterall. He calmed down after we talked and he tried to let everything that had been said and done go knowing that as long as I was at that house... I had his back. After that, things seemed to calm down in the house but my nephew kept to himself for the rest of the night.
