The Crocodile Hunter

Thursday, September 07, 2006 The Death Of Steve Irwin "Crocodile Hunter" Current mood: sad Category: Life I am so sad for Steve's family. I don't have any children, but having lost the love of my life 7 months ago I think I can appreciate some of what Steve's wife is going through now. Nobody can be a tower of strength at a time like that. Nobody. Not when you lose so much, when you lose everything. Her children will keep her going at first, and I feel so sad for them. His son is too young to really ever have any memory of his Dad. He died in such a strange way. It makes you wonder what powers of The Universe decided to reach out and snatch him away right then and there, and like that. It boggles the mind. But that is what life on this planet as a human is like, isn't it? Let his death serve as a poignant reminder to us all not to take anything for granted, and in the words of Tim Mcgraw to always "live like you were dying."
