A friend of mine pointed this person out to me. I just felt the urge to share her ignorance with the world. Below is a blog she wrote and my response.
"I am so sad that you call us "civilians" like we are beneath you or something? I am sooo hurt that every military wife thinks they have it harder than any other person in this world. Being in the military is just like working anywhere else in this country, except you make more money for a lot easier positions and you get more money for BREEDING!!! I can't believe what this world is coming to.. The men who enter the military say they want to protect our country but yet everytime someone says they don't like how the military operates they are really mad at us "civilians" for standing up for ourselves. We are not beneath you just because I or my husband does not want to go into the military. Careers are personal choices and you could die on any job site not just from being in the military! It is probably really hard not seeing your husband for so long, but thats part of the duty as being a military wife I guess, or so I am told.
but wait there's more!
I pray every night that Bush would send the wives over seas with their men because then us "civilians" wouldnt have to listen to them wine about how much them miss them and want to spend their money while they sit at home!!! Get a fucking life, I feel sorry for you people that you have to sit on your fat asses and mooch off your husband and that you arent educated enough to get a job. Have a great life whores!"

I would like to know where it is you are getting your information. Which military wives are you referring to? How dare you insult the very men and women who die for your right to be ignorant and arrogant.
I am a PROUD military wife and I will have you know that I do NOT for one second WHINE (which that is the proper spelling, if you want to post a bitch session and have it be taken seriously then I would spell check. Especially since you are claiming that ALL military wives are lazy and uneducated. You might want to back that up with a statement that forces others to believe that you ARE educated) or MOURN my husband's CHOSEN profession.
You are awfully young so I will give you the benefit of the doubt and chalk your generalized and ill-informed remarks to you youthful ignorance, but allow me to educate you.
Yes some military wives are scandalous, gold digging (which I have no idea what they think they are getting because military gets paid shit) cheap whores. BUT as you will SURELY notice, so are some civilian wives.
But for the MOST part, as I know FIRST Hand since I am a military wife, military wives are strong, resourceful, smart, loving, loyal, and fearless. You have not had the honor of loving someone who has signed a contract that states he would DIE so that you may live. Also you should know that the military makes LESS per hour than a manager at McDonalds. I know, I have done the math. We have three kids and don't even make enough money to cover everyday expenses. Yes, the brave fighting men and women of this country barely make enough money to feed their children. You pay more money for you entertainment then for you ability to exist.
The only reason you get to write something like this is because of people like my husband. And it chaps my ass that you would take that and throw it right back in his face! And mine for that matter! You want to complain about ALLLLLLL military wives are lazy and uneducated, well sweetheart you are talking to a published author here AND a military wife. Kind of a conundrum there. We have three kids and you tell me how they would think about you calling their daddy anything less than heroic? When if God forbid one day he takes a bullet doing what he believes in and passes away, how do I explain that to my kids?? Hmmm? You're so smart and educated! How do I do that? Tells them "Sorry kids wouldn't want to be a WHINER but your dad died getting paid TOOOO O much for such an EASY job so suck on it."? Is that what I should say?
I know you don't want to read something that would show you anything other than what you WANT to believe. But we don't see civilians as beneath us, but I think you just proved that you are beneath me, my family and EVERYONE ELSE who chooses to die for your right to be an ignorant, self involved bitch.
Please tell me, how do you risk your life sitting on YOUR ass all day blogging on myspace???
