I have noted a growing trend that I find very disturbing. Lately it seems that the death of any person who has gained notoriety in their particular field is soon followed by emotion-driven meme campaigns about soldiers. 
Do the soldiers deserve our respect?
Is the loss of the life of a soldier a sad event worthy of honoring? 

Of course so, in both cases. 

However, it is a dangerous precedent we set when we begin declaring that soldiers are the only deaths that matter and that soldiers are the only people who deserve respect or are capable of inspiring people by what they do.

In the last few hours alone I have been inundated with examples of two of my biggest grammatical pet peeves. At the top of the list (no doubt a result of the date) is "wherefore".

Wherefore=why. 

Juliet was asking why, of all the people she could dig, the dude she dug had to be a member of a rival family. 

Second is the misuse of "myself" in lieu of "I" or "me", usually in the form of "Susie Creamcheese and myself went to the store". To know how you truly sound when you say that, give Susie the boot. You are left with, "Myself went to the store". The exception is when you have already used "I" or "me" earlier in the sentence. (e.g. I made myself sound like an idiot for using "myself" inproperly)

Ok, this is a weird day. Someone who was a mutual family member for almost 2 years unfriended me suddenly. I politely asked if something was wrong to which was repled "STOP!!!" followed by a block. Now suddenly I am being blovked left and right by people. Does anyone have any clue wtf is going on?

If you have a grievance with me, let us be adults and clear the air. My inbox is lways open as is my mind. Even if the end result is still parting ways, I deserve the courtesy of at least knowing wtf I did or said that has angered, saddened or offended you.

As you may have seen in a previous status, I have to leave in the morning for a week long business trip. I have a desktop only so I will not have net access while there. I do however have text only access to twitter and FB if anyone would like to add me there. If you have my number feel free to text me so that I get a little "facetime" with you. Basically I am going to a store that is so screwed up that the manager and the district manager got fired. I am taking two associate with me who will be working overnights while I work with the managment during the day and transport them to and from the hotel. The cool and uncool part is that they will be doubled up in rooms and I am going to be in the management suite. I will have my own bedroom but will be sharing the kitchenette and living room with my co manager, our district manager and for a couple of days, our regional VP.

As management we will be working 14 hr days, but I am hourly and they are not, so I will be racking up some OT :P Basically, I will pick up my people form the store at 7AM, thake them to the hotel, return to the store and work 8-8, eat dinner and take my people to the store at 10PM to start their shift and return to the hotel to grab some sleep.

I just watched two short interviews on Concert TV. One was David Gilmour to promote the replica of his black Fender Strat. It was uncanny how much he looks and sounds like Richard Chamberlain nowadays. His included the solo from Comfortably Numb live which was brilliant.

  The second one was Lita Ford to promote her new album. It was the polar opposite. She sounded like a flake and even worse, the clips of her playing her own music sounded like a hideous garage cover band . She used to sound so much more intelligent in her peak.
