I will NEVER FORGET 9-11

I will never forget where I was! I was driving to college classes and I was listening over n over again Charlie Daniels song “Simple Man” on cd. I was jamming to it so I was not aware that anything had happend and people were looking at me as I was bobbing my head to music ??????????? I didn’t know! You know that “eerie” feeling you get when you enter a room knowing something isn’t right? Well it’s the feeling I got once I turned the corner to walk into the cafeteria. There people all over stopping and watching as the first tower was hit! Then we seen the 2nd Tower get hit!!! It was stunned silence!!! I will never forget this short man walking down the hall LAUGHING while this was happening... he was from over there. I turned and started to class...then The Pentagon got hit! THAT IS when I and the rest stated “this isn’t an accident!”. I sat down just numb from what we were seeing. The teacher said “ I know this mornings events were terrible, but life goes on!” Let’s begin... I stood up and said “No! Life just stopped! and I grabbed my books and a few others followed me out! Minutes later we walked into the cafeteria and what I seen will not be forgotten! All races were sitting together, crying together, and some were even praying together!!! While we were watching tv. Except for one culture whose to blame for this act if terrorism! Because this culture was the only ones laughing, while the rest of us were devastated. The rest of the day was hazy...numb....it didn’t really hit home until I went to work down town at a company called Meyers Services...I was walking from where I was parked and it was soooooo quiet in the middle of the day. THATS when it hit me when Lori said we’re closed til further noticed beings that the company was owned by the Mayor of St.Cloud at the time. All government buildings were shut down. I just started crying. Driving on Division Street just eerie silence. People’s windows half cracked and we’re all listening to the news. It literally felt like time just stopped. So I drove home. Once I got home I just cried on the couch and watching tv and watching it unfold. Pretty sad day for America but for the victims and their families!!!! I bow my head in prayer today for them...for us....for America! and Americans!

R.I.P Bear!

Today lies a heavy heart for me and my friends and definitely Bear's family this week. For a friend of ours "Bear" who passed away from a heart attack Wednesday morning. iIt was through my best friend that provided me with this news this morning who was by his side while paramedics were trying to revive him.

Anybody that new "Bear" knew what a wonderful caring man he was to all that surrounded him, even during difficult moments. He would welcome anyone and everyone over to sit in his little bar in the garage to watch sports, drink or even just to chit chat. He was full of life. Served for our Country! No one certainly his family, me nor Jackie Schindele who was by his side seen this coming.I pray for her as well as "bears" family today and there after.

Only knowing him for the short 5 years, I learned a lot from "his" way of life.

Certainly does shed light on to so many things that we all as human beings take for granted on a daily basis and that is LIFE its self. It is all so trivial and yet we focus on the most things in life that aren't important. I pray for his family during this hard time and the hard times I know that will becoming. It scares me but at the same time, I've got to have faith knowing that God is in complete control.

He was a son first,

Then a brother

A Veteren!!! Who served for our Country!. They want him in the Snelling Cemetary in the cities, but he chose up north instead.

An Uncle

A Grandfather

A Great Uncle

A Friend

A Hero!

Love you "bear" you'll be missed greatly!

The American Flag

There are a few things in life that really anger me when it comes to politics, religion or what not. In this instance Its about the American Flag.

I have been brought up to respect the American Flag and for the meaning behind it. It represents our Freedom and how our ancestors died to retrieve our beloved FREEDOM! I believe our men and women in the military as well. Because without them we wouldn't be this wonderful country we are.

But when I walk into a store and pick up an American Flag to Purchase it. It States that it was made in China!. And THAT pisses me off to no end. I'm all for those that want to live in our country for freedom and what not. I'm not opposed to that. But to allow another Country to make OUR FLAG is down right insulting in my eyes. To me its a symbol that they can take our country from us without having to shed blood.

Look at all the things that we buy daily that's made in other countries and less made in the U.S.A. We can thank the big business tycoons for that. Which is whatever. But to allow others to make our FLAG and they don't even respect our country is fucking rediculous nor have the understanding of how our ancestors had to fight to get that FREEDOM. IT MEANS NOTHING TO THEM the way it means to us Americans.  I have had People come up to me and say well we make other countries flags and I think it ISN'T right for any to make another country's Flag. I have had other nationalities come up to me and say "you getting new flag?" and I would look at them and say "yeah?" then they mock our country and they LIVE HERE! It enrages me so much.  Those flags in those stores that state "Made in China" ARE NOT AN AMERICAN FLAGS. It took me along time to actually get one that did state "Made in the U.S.A."

Its insulting to our ancestors, to our families now that serve for our wonderful country. I  had to share my view on this.

So I ask those that are Americans...DON'T BUY A FLAG that says "MADE IN CHINA". Buy one that's made FROM THE U.S.A.
