That was a good ol man
He put some pills in my hand
I coughed and gagged and swallowed them down
Them were the best damn pills I ever found
Wasnt long I couldnt catch my breath
Thought for sure I'd caught my death
Them pills set me on such a high
I climbed up on the bridge and thought I could fly
There were lots of people standing around
Friends family all wanted me to come down
But now's the time when night turns to day
Im gonna spread my wings and fly away
Away from all this pain and sorrow
I dont wanna live to see another tomorrow
I wanna get away from this place
No one knows how it is till they look Death in the face
I took one step and the pain was gone
But that hunger for God will live on
And who's alive and having fun
Taht good ol man who wont be laughin when his time is done.
