My home state is TN...I love it there, all except for all the humidity in late summer and the year round possibility of a tornado....I've learned that a person can be safer strapped to a tree in the middle of a tornado rather than be in a trailor...of course I didn't know the severity of them until I was 18 and out of my grandparents safe brick home...The weather is the ONLY thing that I DON'T miss from TN...I miss everything else, some more than others, like my family, my kids, my friends, including the ones in Hickman county that I haven't seen in like 5 years....I still wonder if my friend Teresa is STILL gossiping about her on again- off again, 15 some year affair with a guy named Eddie...I wonder how much Bon Aqua has grown, if any.....I miss the sound of a whip-o-whil in the middle of the night...Mainly, I miss the country life I used to live. Ya know...horses, chickens being raised as pets in the house, being able to walk off into the woods and being lost for hours, but yet knowing exactly where you are once you realize you were to caught up in exploring and find yourself 5 miles from home and you on foot and it will be dark in less than 30 min and you never once thought about bringing a flashlight when you left!!! And in a way, I kinda miss all the gossiping; weither it was about someone else or about me...Am I straing to miss things like this?
Here's the thing...Back in March 2006, me and my BF moved to TX...Been through the state a few times and liked it a lot...When I was asked to move here, I was very excited...Well, i loved it here...mainly the weather...Since I've been here, I've lost a dog, been in jail, forced to go to court, had 4 different jobs that I didn't like or didn't get paid, and just about lost a car...Things were great the 1st few months, then in July, everything started going wrong...needless to say, all this bad luck and this homesickness is forcing me to go back home...hopefully I can make it just a few more months until income tax returns...Tennesse springs are the best!!!!
OH...If anyone knows of any rental property in Hickman or Maury Counties comming up in late Feb. or in March, please let me know...It will make my highly anticipated trip home much more easy............MISSING TN, NIKKICHICK1979
