Alright I got a tattoo today and took my other half with me while i had it done. Now the catch is that my man does tattoos. He used to do them in a parlor, however is more free lance and does them on the side now....
So I have 3 hours worth of work done today and are we are now having a debate about how to take care of it afterwards...
My artist said to keep the bandage on it for about 6-8 hours, then wash it with mild soap and water, then after that to just use lotion. Non-Scented and what not.
My other half said that you keep the bandage on for a few hours, then take it off, wash it and use ointments like bacitracin or something like that and that you are NEVER supposed to be lotion on it.
So....Since both of these people are tattoo artists and both know what they are talking about I was wondering what everyone had to say here?
