Someone that I know here on fubar had a warrant in her home-state, so she ditched her kids on her family and took off instead of paying the fine (which after i think about it, makes me feel pretty stupid to have trusted her).
Well she was passing through my state about an hour away from where i lived, so I told her to stop by so we could hang out and have a beer.
We hang out and have a couple of beers, she is drunk after like 2 beers. She says that she can't drive. She has a warrant, she has kids, she is drunk, i'm not (even though i don't have a license), so I decide to be the one taking the risk.
Her registration was apparently cancelled by her ex, so we get pulled over, and I go to jail because i took the risk for her. If she had been driving, SHE would've went to jail.
While i'm in jail, she is telling me that she is going to bail me out since i took the bullet for her. Her credit card is locked from using it in multiple states (who knows).
Someone else bails me out, and she tells me she is going to get me a lawyer because the case they have against me is weak. She lies and lies, tells me she tried to send the money via paypal, via moneygram, for some reason none of it is coming to me and i have court coming up.
Now she is saying that she's not going to pay for my lawyer because it was my stupid choice to take the bullet for her.
I agree that i made that decision myself, but my Motivations were to Protect Her since she had more at risk. When someone jumps in front of a gun and takes a bullet for YOU, do you just say "psh dumbass" and go on your way? Or do you try to repay the favor?
