Instructions...... Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 weird or random things, facts, or habits about yourself. At the end, you choose at least 5 people to be tagged, listing their names . Don't forget to leave a comment that says, "You're it!" on their profile and ask them to read your blog. You can't tag the person who tagged you. 1. I have a twin brother (looks a lot like me). I must be the evil one, though cos he's a priest. 2. I once broke my back in a car accident. I was in the Air Force at the time and I had a 3-day drive to report to a new posting in Nova Scotia. I was distracted by a bee that was crawling around on my leg and I took the car flying through a barrier and over an embankment...never even hit the brakes. I did a flip and three or four rolls (aerobatics display). Parts of the car were still hanging from the crash barrier. I spent the next six weeks flat on my back in a military hospital with hot and cold running nurses. Now my back is probably stronger than yours. 3. I went to a private boys school in England from the age of 11 to 14. So my sports are rugby, soccer and cricket rather than football and hockey. 4. I once won a trophy for gymnastics. 5. I once ate a river rat (it was on a survival course and I was gung-ho into the scenario). Tasted like chicken only a little more gamey. 6. I rated as a marksman with the Browning 9mm and the Walther PPK. It must be more luck than skill cos they are two of the most inaccurate weapons to be found. 7. I have a metal pin in my left shoulder due to a motorbike accident a few years ago in the UK. I was faced with the choice of rear-ending a police car that had flipped it's lights and sirens on, jammed on it's brakes, and was about to pull a uey, or laying the bike down to slide into the curb. I chose the curb and then the police took me to the hospital instead of chasing whoever. The bike was fine but it had a 'NO Fear' sticker on each side and the 'No' was rubbed off of one side so it actually read 'Fear' on that side, which was about right, I suppose. Hehe. 8. I once almost crashed an airplane into a herd of cattle whilst practicing an 'engine failure after take-off'. That's about the same time that they told me they didn't want me to fly any more (funny, that). The farmer wanted compensation because his cows wouldn't produce milk for days afterwards. (greedy chancer!) 9. I once dropped a smoke grenade onto a beach instead of into the sea whilst practicing search and rescue operations. The headset which I was using at the rear of the aircraft by the chute (hatch) wasn't working, so I had the grenade ready to drop and I was relying on another crew member further up the fuselage, who had a functioning headset, to give me the 'thumbs up' when I should release it. He gave me the signal and I dropped the grenade. Then I saw a look of shock and alarm appear on his face. He came rushing over to say that he was showing me what the signal would be, not actually giving me the real signal. I was like, WTF...what is this, charades?! We had to circle back and do several low passes to ensure that I hadn't killed anyone or lit anything on fire. (OOPS) 10. Until last September, I lived in England for more than ten years. I have now returned to Canada and I'm lovin' the snow. I grew up on a fighter base in Northern Quebec and we had long, snowy winters. Everyone here in Ontario is wanting the winter to end. Not me!
