About twenty years ago I hurt my shoulder playing baseball and had a slight tear of my rotator cuff (MRI. I never had surgery and instead rested it hoping it would improve. In the last few years it has begun to cause issues with my sleep (not being able to lay on it and decreased strength in my right arm. Last week I played in a 7v7 flag football league and was the quarterback. I played the whole game fine but later that evening and since the pain has been 100x it was before to the point it hurts constantly. I'm guessing it's a full tear of the rotator cuff at this point and it's about pain tolerance. Here is where I need help, I'm a teacher, I don't really want to go in, have an MRI and ultimately surgery and lose the ability to use my right arm. So do I go now and get it looked at or try to tolerate the pain so that I can have it done closer to summer? Thanks all.
A. Have it done now
B. Closer to summer |
