To settle an arguement with a friend of mine....

I have a cat whos a total bitch. She wont come when yoou call her, she scratches and bites when you pick her up, she absolutely WILL NOT allow anyone to clip her claws, shes just generally a sour pussy.

I want to take her to the animal shelter and get a cat thats not quite so anti human. My friend says Im just adding to the overpopulation in shelters, and my cat is the way she is because I dont give her love (which is untrue, she is spoiled by me and has been since she was a kitten)

So is it wrong for me to give up a cat Im unhappy with?
