This is a few lines to a story i started. If anyone has any suggestions as to what i should do next, let me know.
She stared hopelessly into his eyes searching for something, anything that would give her the slightest comfort. His eyes both distant and questioning peered down at her, her hair, her skin, her mouth. So warm, his eyes were so warm. They reminded her of the ocean kissing the shore; big pools of aqua, teal and at their center a rich honey. See me, she willed, see…me. For a split second something seemed to wash over him, kindness, sympathy, love? Then he did something she never expected. His lips pressed against hers tentatively until he felt her body relax and accept his touch. She knew this couldn’t be real but she couldn’t bring herself to pull away, and then it hit her. In his kiss she tasted a thousand cries, a thousand fears, and a thousand lies.
