Last night worked an overnight shift, but getting off early because (1) I stayed after my shift due to a fire alarm going off in my work building earlier this week (due to one of the volunteers, as we discover, decided to cook something in the toaster on wax paper) and (2) I needed to get off work a little earlier to head off to a 5K run.
No, not me! I don't run well. Never learned how to run even in Elementary School. I helped stop traffic to aid in the runners running.
Yesterday, I had found on a bargain table at Barnes & Nobles (where I have some of my best treasures) a DVD & Card Instruction on the exercise forms of Tai Chi. I have always wanted to learn but never found it possible to afford the classes and, when you are working 2-3 jobs oftentimes, it can be hard to fit in a class in the schedule as well. This morning, I bring it in the home and went through the warm ups okay (excepting bringing the knee and twisting the foot around while the weight is on the other leg...lol.. say what? lol....). They lost me somewhere between "Part the Wild Horse's Mane" and "Ward Off". (For those not familiar with Tai Chi, these are some of the first basic forms that you learn. LOL... Oh well, I am watching the DVD for the first time to the end. Might have to do that a few times until I understand the movements -- each and every movement.
Unfortunately, this does nothing to help me feel sleepy to get some rest; however the book of Tai Chi says that it will help to get better sound sleep. The verdict is still be to seen.
OMG -- Thing 1 and Thing 2 are attacking something... better go save my home!!
So, how is your morning today?????? LOL....
