the girl wakes...
darkness so complete for a moment she cant remember where she is
...then... like a small child who seeks out a parents bed in the frightening night....
she quietly slips from her room....
through the window a beam of golden moon creeps across the floor
...her bare toes feel the puddle of light...she closes her eyes and
breathes slow lifting her arms....the sky people embrace her
...dark meadows and rivers blend and blur
into woods and mountains below.....she stops...
held suspended by twinkling colors
...they wrap and spiral around her like a blanket from the cold...
as she moves slowly toward the sleeping man.
is it possible for a man to lay in beauties slumber....
an arm thrown up over his head....
one fist clutches the edge of a pillow and she hears him moan in his sleep
.....she holds her breath not wanting the vision to fade
....the girl watches his mouth....intently....held spell bound.....waiting......
and then a sound...one word spoken so softly it is almost inaudible
but there it was......her name....without him knowing she is there
she kneels.....as much in surprise at her name on his sleeping lips as
her willingness to submit...the girl kneels by the bed knowing he can
not feel her there...does not know she watches held captive by his beauty
she kneels and watches filling her dark eyes with every inch of him...
aching to touch and knowing not to reach through the thin veil...
his eyes blink open once......looking directly into hers...
a fraction of moonlight lifts a pale finger
to illuminate them in perfect glory for the girl.
she gasps........he does not hear it...and soon his eye lids close....
leaning over.. the girl bends to put a soft kiss upon each one
....a star kiss of silver light pulled from the swirling clouds
.....not touching him...the kiss holds true...
gently hovering like a small sparkling swarm of silver bees
it scatters in a delicate shower covering him like a warm spring wind...
she lays beside him then
.....like a small child who seeks out a parents bed in the frightening night
....secure and safe in his presence
