Classics lounge staff policy

 

Rule Enforcement

First and foremost, you are staff, therefore, you must set an example for the members and guests, this means simply; “don’t be breaking the house rules.” To ensure that you don’t break them you should take a moment and actually read them and familiarize yourself with them, if you have not already done so.  The reason being, you cannot enforce rules that you yourself break.

The penalty for breaking the rules should fit the crime so to speak, for most things;

First offense = verbal warning and reprimand

Second offense = privately talk to the individual, do not have a long drawn out battle in chat     whenever possible, this breeds drama. If the offense is racial slurs or disrespectful speech, deleting the comments the person made would be in order.

Third offense = silence the person, and tell them privately should they ask.

Fourth offense = kick, banning is left to the discretion of the DJ working as when they are DJ-ing they have control of the room.

Ganging up on an individual by multiple staff members in most cases is not warranted and should be avoided; this leads to a mob mentality and breeds drama. So the first staff member that addresses the issue should handle it, all others may of course observe and interject if asked to do so, but not interfere.

 

Attendance

Staff is hired from active regulars; as such a certain amount of active participation is expected, ie at least 30 minutes three times a week. Now we understand that life and things such as illness, family, work, vacation, net issues, etc happen. If for some reason you are unable to meet the participation requirement, please inform management so that they are aware. Failure to do so will result in dismissal. Failure to log into the lounge for a two week period will result in dismissal.

 

Staff Behavior

Staff memebers should endevour to NOT bring drama into the lounge whenever possible, as it states in the house rules; NO DRAMA! This being said, if you have a problem with a staff member(s) for whatever reason, DO NOT START BITCHING ABOUT IT IN CHAT! Bring it to the attention of management/owners.
