For those of you who know me, my sister died one week ago today. We buried her on Friday and I've been feeling very sad and lost.
Today I went to clean out her belongings with my other sister and her two kids. On the way up to her house I heard a song that I like. It's by Pete Yorn and it's called For Us. I turned the radio up much to my children's dismay.
I cleaned up her things and her linen closet and shead alot of tears. It was hard going through all her things. I felt like she was in the hospital and I was putting things in order for her before she got home and didn't have to deal with it. I lost it when I realized she in fact was gone.
My youngest son had an eye appointment so I had to leave a little early. I heard the same song on my home home again. I thought it was a little strange but blew it off. Then I had to go to the store and get milk and on my way home I stopped by the bar to see my girlfriend who was bartending. I sat and had a beer and discussed what I did today..going to my sister's. They have satelite radio in the bar when the jukebox is not being used. And what song comes on the radio? Pete Yorn For Us. I said to her that's the third time I've heard this song today. She said maybe it's a message from her.
